Natural Star Nani's Hai Nanna, starring Seetharama Rajyam fame Mrunal Thakur, was released today in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Let's take a look at the review.
Plot:
Viraj (Nani) is a famous fashion photographer in Mumbai who lives with his daughter Mahi (Baby Kiara Khanna). However, Mahi is suffering from a lung disease and doctors say she doesn't have much longer to live. But, Viraj strongly believes that his daughter will not leave him. As a result of the dramatic developments that take place, the little girl is rescued from an accident by Yash (Mrunal Thakur). Who is Yash who came into Viraj's life? What is her relationship to Viraj? How does this story end? That's the rest of the story.
Analysis:
The director has directed this Hai Nanna film in a decent manner with a slow narration to tell the story of the father-daughter relationship. However, such average family dramas are not new to the Telugu screen. Love stories where a father who loves his daughter very much, who doesn't have a mother, falls in love with her, are also not new. This Hai Nanna came in the same genre as Nagarjuna's Santhosham movie. However, in this Hai Nanna, the director has written the mother's character as a very important one, rather than the father-daughter characters. Also, the twist that comes from the point of view of that character is also good. But, if those scenes around that twist were also good, it would have been a plus for the movie.
In the flashback corner, the love story that runs is regular and very routine. The shades of Saraochcharu are clearly visible. Although the songs in between provided some relief, the Goa sequences created boredom. However, the twist related to Jayaram's character is good. After revealing the twist, the director made the movie interesting from there to the end.
In general, if you say simply about Hai Nanna, there are emotions in the movie, but interest is missing. There is chemistry between Nani-Mrunal characters, but love is missing. But, family emotions have been delivered. Also, Nani's performance, Mrunal's acting will impress the audience. Jayaram, Priyadarshi, and the rest of the actors also acted well within their role limits.
Plus points:
- Main theme
- Nani's performance
- Music & songs
- First half
- Cinematography
Minus points:
- Second half
- Some dragging scenes
- Regular play
Verdict:
Overall, you will feel that this Hai Nanna movie is moving forward slowly while watching it. But, the emotions, taking and making, music by Hesham Abdul Wahab in the movie are very good. In a word, this movie is the best choice for families only.
